The font is now ready for downloading. You will retrieve it as a ZIP archive file (tu19991.zip).

You will have to store the file on your harddisk, then extract it . After extraction you have to install it using the 'fonts' submenue of the Windows 'control panel'.

The font will then be available to your applications (web browsers etc.) under the name of 'TITUS Cyberbit Basic'.

Instructions for use:

for Windows:

Save the exe-file on your machine.
Open the folder where you saved the file and double-click to extract it.
Then open your machine's control panel, folder "fonts", and choose (upper left toolbar) "file: install new font".
Then choose the folder that you have the extracted file in, and click OK.
Then you can use the font with software like Word and OpenOffice.

If you are using the font in Word files, make sure to save the files by using the following options:
"Extra: Options: Save"; choose "embed TrueType fonts".
Otherwise those who do not have the font on their computers may get square boxes instead of the special signs you intended to use.

 

for Linux with OpenOffice:

Zuerst das Verzeichnis suchen, in dem sich die Truetypefonts befinden (mit "Dateien suchen"), das könnte etwa usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype/ sein.
Dann muss man in das Verzeichnis wechseln, wo sich "program" befindet (z.B. usr/lib/ooo-2.0/).
Dann den Befehl ./spadmin eingeben (in der Konsole oder midnight commander)
Dann auf Schriften/Fonts gehen und "Hinzufügen/Add" wählen.
Das zuvor ausfindig gemachte Verzeichnis angeben, in dem sich die neuen Schriften befinden (die man zuvor natürlich dorthin kopiert haben sollte).
Dann die gewünschte(n) Schrift(en) markieren, fertig.
