The collation of the three available editions presented here takes P as its starting point. The text follows this edition, unless otherwise indicated in the apparatus. The division of the text adopted here is based on the editions, but its specific representation follows the following system, which is mine:
   *(1): "beginning of first mantra c.q. brāhmaṇa-portion" - NB: mantra divisions and kaṇḍikā divisions do not always coincide. P does not number the mantras, but indicates them with iti. Cf. the "Contents" section in C, which specifies the use of each mantra/brāhmaṇa-portion.
   * / : "end of ʽpāda'"
   * // 1 //: "end of kaṇḍikā 1"
   * -- 1 -- : "end of first anuvāka"

Sandhi: This collation does not purport to be a critical edition, so I felt that the treatment of divergent sandhis had to be such as to report the readings of the editions everywhere, but to adopt in each individual instance the reading that corresponds most to our preconceptions about ʽnormal' sandhi. This collation is thus not based on a notion of a specific ʽTaittiriya-sandhi'.

* The sigla follow

The Pravargya Brāhmaṇa of the Taittirīya Āraṇyaka
(Delhi 1991), p. xii.
